L.A. CADA

The Los Angeles Centers for Alcohol and Drug Abuse (L.A. CADA) provide addition counseling and recovery services for adults and teens at seven locations throughout Los Angeles County.  For more information call 562-906-2676, or www.lacada.org.


Exchange Club Family Support Center

The goal of the Exchange Club is to help parents learn to be effective, loving, and supportive towards their children.  They accomplish this through a one-on-one parent aide program, and through parent education classes, and information and referral.  They can be contacted at 562-904-9590, or www.downeyfamilysupport.com


Su Casa

Su Casa provides a full spectrum of programs for victims of domestic violence.  Services include an outreach center, a 24 hour hotline, a secured domestic violence shelter, and transitional housing.  To inquire about services call 562-421-5297.  To reach the 24 hour crisis hotline call 562-402-4888.  For additional information visit www.sucasadv.org.


Department of Mental Health

The Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health provides mental health and emergency services throughout Los Angeles County.  For information and referrals call 1-800-854-7771 or go to www.dmh.lacounty.gov .


Department of Children and Family Services

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services provides a variety of services to families dealing with child abuse or neglect.  To report child abuse call 1-800-540-4000.  Additional information can be found at www.dcfs.co.la.ca.us .
